The Executive Governor of Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke, has described the death of a popular nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as ‘Sisi Quadri’, as shocking and devastating.
The Governor, in a condolence message, said Sisi Quadri was a delight to watch on the screen, radiating homes with laughter through his style of acting.
In a condolence statement, the Governor commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, especially his aged father, Alhaji Oyebamiji, the people of Iwoland and the movie industry as a whole, urging them to take consolation in a life of impacts, particularly in the acting profession.
“Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji (aka Sisi Quadri) was a delight to watch in movies. He was a great talent that illuminate homes and imparted valuable messages. With his demise, the memory of the wonderful moments he created on the scenes, and more, the comical relief he inspires through his works will reverberate for years,” the condolence message reads in parts.
“I mourn his loss knowing well the great talent that is gone. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the people of Iwoland, the movie industry, and everyone touched by this devastating experience.
“It is my sincere prayer that they get the strength to bear the hard moment his passage represents. May Almighty Allah grant him aljanah fridaos soul.”
Also, the lawmaker representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Mudashiru Lukman (L&K) has commiserated the family of the deceased over the unfortunate demise of the Sensational actor, ‘Sisi Quadri’
The lawmaker noted that the late actor lived an impactful and fulfilled life and used his God-given talent to promote his community.
“Sisi Quadri was not just an actor, he was a patriotic son of Iwoland who utilized his exceptional talent to not only amuse and delight audiences but also play a remarkable role in promoting our community’s values and narratives.
“Sisi Quadri will be remembered by all sons and daughters of Iwoland for his love for his hometown on how he tirelessly used his influence and popularity to portray our community in a positive light.
“To his family, I wish to convey my deepest condolences and assure you that I stand with you in solidarity. We recognize that no words or gestures can alleviate the pain you are currently enduring, I implore you to take solace in the fact that Sisi Quadri lived a fulfilled life. I pray to God to give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
Meanwhile, the Oluwo of Iwoland has described the death of Sisi Quadri as a monumental loss
In a statement personally signed by him, Oba Adewale Akanbi said, “The death of Quadri Oyebamiji Tomori, popularly called Sisi Quadri, was a monumental loss to Iwoland. Iwo is bereaved. A star in the Nollywood industry has gone.
“I commiserate with Iwoland, most especially his immediate family. He was a talent and an asset in the film industry. He was a renowned jester with unmatched manner of presentation.
“I pray God should forgive his shortcomings and protect everything he left behind,” the condolence message from the monarch reads.
Also, the Iwo Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Moshood Kabiru (Irorun) has condoled with the entire Iwo community and family of Tolani Oyebamiji Quadri, popularly known as ‘Sisi Quadri’ in his lifetime on the passage of the popular Nollywood actor.
Irorun, in a condolence message through his media office, described the death of the iconic actor as a big loss not only to the Oyebamiji family but to the whole Iwo community.
“It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Sisi Quadri, a husband, father, and a true gem of our community. His comedic genius and warm personality endeared him to all who encountered him, leaving a significant void in our hearts.
“Sisi Quadri was not merely a talented individual but also an embodiment of resilience, determination, and the passion to make us laugh even in the face of adversity. He uplifted our spirits, brightened our days, and reminded us to find joy and laughter even during the most challenging times. His contributions to the Nigerian film industry, particularly in the realm of comedy, have left an everlasting mark and enriched our cultural heritage.
“As we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, let us reflect on his journey and honour him with the love and respect he so rightly deserves. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find solace and strength during this arduous time, ” he prayed.
Foremost broadcaster and nollywood actor, Otunba Abolade Adekunle Dodoede, has commiserated with the entire movie and entertainment industry in Osun over the loss of the sensational comic art ‘Sisi Quadri.’
On his social media handle he wrote, “Rest in Peace Sisi Quadri. I watched Anikulapo Series early this morning and saw him died in the film, so he will die in real life today? May Allah grant him Aljanat Fridauz.
Equally the TAMPAN Governor in Osun, Alhaji Maroof Olayiwola in a condolence message onbehalf of the group said, “With heavy heart but total submission to Almighty God, I announce the passing away of our beloved brother, who died early hours of today after brief illness at Lautech Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
The TAMPAN Governor commiserate with all members of TAMPAN for this great loss.
Gone from our sight but never from our hearts. Odun a jinna sira won.

Also, an Osun born OAP with Crest FM in Akure, Micheal Halim ‘Olumiko’, while expressing his condolence feelings, said, “Let’s hope his loss will increase more awareness to combat kidney related diseases so that we can avoid further loss in Iwoland, Osun and beyond. The deceased was said to have been admitted to the hospital for two days before he breathed his last.
The 44 year old thespian has been finally laid to rest at his hometown in Iwo, Osun State.
