Following the decision of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State to recruit 5000 teachers and 250 education officers to fill the noticeable void in the teaching service working force of the state and the eventual official release of advertisement by the Ministry of Education in the state for applicants to apply for the Teaching role in the state, PrimeReportersNG brings forth the step by step guidelines on how to apply and those eligible for the job.
The application and registration will be for two weeks starting from the day of official advertisement for the recruitment exercise, which is Thursday, 15th of February, 2024.
The possibility of extension beyond the two weeks could be possible, however, no signal for that as at now unless the Ministry of Education and most importantly, the Governor of the state approved and deemed it fit for such extension.
Applicants must possess five credits in their WASSCE/NECO-SSCE/NABTEB.
Applicants must have; NCE, Degree in Education, or Basic Degree with PGDE, HND+PGDE
A functional email address is compulsory, a Local Government of Origin is compulsory, a means of identification is also compulsory, and one of the ways to affirm the eligibility status of each applicant.
It is imperative for all applicants to note that registration will be online via an electronic portal.

FULL DETAILS OF REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS OF THE OSUN TEACHER’S EDUCATION OFFICERS RECRUITMENT EXERCISE
A. Applicants Requirements
- WASSCE/NECO-SSCE/NABTEB with five (5) credits in relevant subjects, not more than two sittings;
II. Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE);
Degree in Education or Basic Degree with PGDE, HND+PGDE;
IV. Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate and computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
V. Any other relevant qualifications.
B. Applicants bio-data/Online requirements
In addition to the above, prospective applicants must also possess the following for the online registration:
- A recent passport photograph (compulsory);
II. A functional mobile phone number (compulsory);
A functional email address (compulsory);
IV. Local Government of Origin (compulsory);
V. Birth certificate/Court declaration of age document;
VI. Attestation from three (3) referees;
VII. National Identification Number (NIN) and
VIII. A means of identification (compulsory) such as one of
the following:
a. National ID card
b. Voters card
C. International passport or
d. National Driver’s license
