The Vice Chairman Ayedire South LCDA, Architect Tunji Ogunrinu, has commissioned an ICT Centre for his immediate constituency.
The event, which was held on Saturday, the 24th of February, at Oluponna Aiyedire Local Government of Osun State, had top government and political functionaries witnessing the commissioning of the ICT Centre for usage.
In his speech, the Vice Chairman of the LCDA and brain behind the project, Architect Tunji Ogunrinu said his intention for constructing the ICT centre is to change the educational direction of his people in his hometown as he realised that Forty percent of students nowadays find it difficult to excel in their studies according to the dictate of 21st century digital world, the reason why he deem it fit to setup the ICT centre in order for the underprivileged students to get acclimatised with the usage of ICT centre for success in their studies.
He further stated that the objective of establishing the ICT CENTRE is to accelerate the impartation of technical skills to all Ayedire indegens for job creation and poverty reduction, expansion and modernization of infrastructures for more indegen to access digital services and to enhance capacity to train more people in relevant contemporary skills.
The Vice Chairman of Aiydire LCDA affirmed that the project will collectively among other things, build a seamless organisation which is people are centered on, make his immediate environment technology driven, motivate the local government workforce towards self development, career growth, job satisfaction, and also motivate and impact knowledge to students and aid their learning skills.
While speaking at the event, the PDP Senatorial Leader in Osun West, Hon Tunde Adesoye charged all other political office holders to emulate the positive pace set by Architect Tunji Ogunrinu while eulogising him as a pride to the party in the constituency.
The Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment to the Governor, Hon Eniola Odeniyi, the Member representing Ayedire State Constituency in the State Assembly, Hon Elisha Oderinwale, Hon Akintola Adeolu (Ayedire South LCDA Chairman), Hon Ogunbiyi Solomon Akinyemi (Ayedire Main Council Chairman), Oba Olaoye Yunus Oyelayo, Alh Wasiu Akinwon, Hon Sikiru Oyelakin were among many other government, political and traditional leaders that graced the commissioning.
