In further effort to project the sterling performances of Governor Ademola Adeleke administration in Osun state, the management of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation led by the Board Chairman, Hon. Mayowa Oloso paid an historic visit to Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja I) in his palatial palace on Wednesday.
During the visit, Ooni of Ife pledges an unreserved and full support for the ongoing upgrading of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation.
The monarch expressed his exceeding joy and gladness over the upgrading of Orisun FM to a fully digital station. He noted that the first Yoruba speaking broadcasting station in Nigeria has been the pride of Ile-Ife since its creation.
Oba Ogunwusi while eulogizing Governor Ademola Adeleke for this unprecedented investment in upgrading the OSBC stations at Ile-Ife, Iwo and Osogbo simultaneously pledged his continuous support for a strong symbiotic relationship between the palace and the station going forward.
In a statement by the Public Relation officer of the station, Gbenga Faminu, he noted that the monarch promised to ensure the growth of the station to the height of being an enviable culture broadcast station promoting Olojo festival as a unique international festival among others.
The DG/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Rasheed Folaranmi, while adding his voice, remarked that OSBC is no doubt recording historic developments continuously during the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke and promised OSBC leadership would not disappoint in ensuring a new face of OSBC is born.
Hon. Oloso, Chairman of the OSBC Board while expressing his appreciation, assures the foremost monarch that, Senator Ademola Adeleke being a governor very committed to actions rather than words is ever ready to leave no stone unturned until OSBC assumes its leadership role in the broadcasting industry in Nigeria and beyond through innovative specialized digital broadcasting.
The chairman thank the Governor and the monarch for their true commitment to the growth of the state further re-echoed his passionate belief in the huge benefits a strong alliance between the most prominent palace of the entire Yoruba race and the leading broadcast station of the state of the living spring would bring to all Yorubas worldwide, Nigeria and Africa in general.
He assured that the OSBC Board and Management would not rest until this lofty goal are achieved.
