The Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Alh (Hon) Mudashiru Nurudeen Emiloju has rolled out a multi-million naira empowerment program in Iwo, Ayedire And Olaoluwa local government as part of efforts to alleviating the impact of economic hardship and enrich lives of beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries which cut across Iwo, Ayedire, and Olaoluwa local government were empowered with motorcycles, refrigerators, grinding machines, and cash grants for businesses.
The empowerment program, according to his Personal Assistant, Sen Ola Ariyo, is aimed at completing the efforts of Governor Ademola Adeleke in improving lives, saying that the beneficiaries receive the support to aid their individual endeavours.
He noted that no fewer than 200 beneficiaries got a cash grant between, N250,000, N100,000 and N50,000, respectively to either Kickstart a small-scale trade or expand existing ones, adding that food items were also distributed to thousands of people as a support in the face of hardship in the country.
“In line with the commitment of my Principal, His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke, I distributed more than N10 million as cash grant to help people start a business or expand one. Beneficiaries are mostly women, and it touches the entire political wards in Iwo as well as our market women,” Hon. Emiloju explained.
Hon. Emiloju who said he is following in the direction of Governor Adeleke in providing succour to the people amidst economic uncertainty, said refrigerators, motorcycles and granding machines distributed through the empowerment program will impact the lives of beneficiaries positively.
He urged beneficiaries to make good use of any of the support received through the empowerment program, noting that he will continue to contribute to the well-being of the people within his capacity.
Hon. Emiloju enjoined the people of Iwo to intensify support for the Governor Adeleke-led administration, emphasizing the resolve of the administration to complete ongoing Iwo-Osogbo road and initiate new projects that will contribute to the socio-economic development of the ancient town.
“I also want to thank our mother and Senior Abiyamo of Nigeria, Yeyeluwa Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, for her guidance and support for me always. This programme we’re holding today is part of her guidance, advice, and constant encouragement for me severally. I can not but thank her and appreciate her motherly love. May she continue to succeed in all her endeavours in life,” Emiloju prayed.
The Governor while appreciating the gesture from one of his Aide to the people of his Constituency said these are the hallmark of his welfarism programmes for the people in the state and his constant message to all of his Aides to always find every means to give back to their Constituency and people of their immediate environment.
Governor Ademola Adeleke who was represented at the program by his Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon Bayo Ogungbangbe also used the occasion to announce that the disbursement of the Cooperatives loan he flagged off recently will start this month as larger percentage of Cooperatives societies in the state are already fulfilling the documentation process to access the credit facility from the state government.
While applauding the facilitator of the event, the Chairman of the day and National Vice-Chairman of Southwest PDP, Barr Kamorudeen Ajisafe “Kosolowoe”, said, “If you’re wise , you can’t be wiser than God. Sometimes, I settle arguments in regard to money disputes, and they’ll dash me out of the money. What power or wisdom do I have? But destiny of God.
” It’s good to give in whatever you have at hand. Because you’re spending does not mean your money will finish, If you calculate the amount this man is distributing today, you will be surprised.
“May Emiloju live long, May you prosper, you’ll have a healthy and peaceful life,” he prayed.
Dignitaries at the event includes, Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon Bayo Ogungbangbe who represented the Governor at the event, Chairman Osun SUBEB, Hon Ibukun Fadipe ‘IBK’, member representing Iwo state Constituency at the House of Assembly, Hon Adesina Rabiu Atanda Àrà “ARA”, Hon Oderinwale Elisha Minister of Aiyedire State Constituency, Hon Biodun Ibrahim St’Abbey of Ola-Oluwa state Constituency and Egnr Deji Ayodeji Bello (DG Development Partners), Dr (Mrs) Taiwo Abosede, were also at the event.

Party chieftains at the event include Hon Adesoye Oyetunde (Senatorial Leader, OsunWest Senatorial District), Alhaji Sulaiman Bello “SeeBee” (National leader PDP, Iwo LG), Alhaji Alidu Tiamiyu Adeoye (PDP Chairman, Iwo LG), Hon Saheed Executive, among many other party chieftains and members at the empowerment program.
More than ten traditional rulers from Iwo local government and his environs were also at the empowerment program.
