● Assured Osun Government Will Continue To Prioritize Quality and Affordable Healthcare
Governor Ademola Adeleke has today commissioned some basic health equipment for the benefit of several State hospitals in Osun and the general public.
The Secretary to the Osun State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye today represented the Governor at the commissioning of the health equipment held at the office complex of the Osun Health Insurance Agency.
According to the release by the Media Aide to the Secretary to the Osun state Government, Kehinde Adeoye, he said the equipments commissioned by the Osun state SSG include the Dental Ultrasonic Machine for S&P, Haematocrit Centrifuge, Delivery Couch, Operating Couch, Spectrophotometer, Phototherapy for Neonate, Suctioning machine and a host of others.
He noted that the the event is an initiative of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, organized to assist Health Care Providers to purchase medical machines and other important equipments and present it to them on credit, while payment back to the agency will be deducted from their monthly capitation in installment.
“This programme is part of the plans and programme of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Rasaq Akindele and the management of the Agency to ensure that Health Care Providers deliver qualitative care to the people of the State,” he emphasized.
Speaking at the event, Igbalaye said the commissioning of the equipment is a proof of this administration’s commitment to improving the health status of Osun people, both young and old.
He said, “I am delighted to be here today as we celebrate the commissioning of these health equipments, a testament to our commitment to the healthcare of men, women, and children.
Over the last one year, without gainsaying, the Osun state health sector under the administration of His Excellency, Senator(Dr) Ademola Adeleke has continued to experience a complete overhaul. Infact, the comprehensive facelift is totally unprecedented.”
According to the SSG, “The Governor has brought improved healthcare to the doorsteps of our people, especially in the rural area, for both old and young through several programmes including free medical outreach, imole clinics, and a bunch of others with seasoned community health professionals.”
Speaking about the Governors plan to upgrade all health care facilities in the state, Igbalaye extolled the Governor, describing the development as “laudable.”
“I must equally allude to the Governors resolve to revamp and revitalize all the 332 focal health centres across the state, a move to enhance quality, affordable and effective health care delivery to the grassroot.
This comprehensive revitalization includes improving human resources and provisions of basic drugs in all the primary health care centres. This is indeed laudable.”
“We will continue to ensure that Osun people have access to quality and affordable healthcare, irrespective of their socio-economic status,” Igbalaye stated.
The beneficiaries are the general hospital, Ilesa, General Hospital, Ejigbo, State hospital, Iwo, among others.
