The Coalition of Osun Law School Students, Nigerian Law School, Bar ||, has their expressed gratitude to Governor Ademola Adeleke for the payment of bursary to all the indigene.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo by the President of the association, Mr Toyeeb Abodunde.
He said, Governor Ademola ADELEKE yet again broke a remarkable record by disbursing the sum of 105,000 long-awaited Bursary for each of the 296 Nigerian Law School Students of 2022/2023 set.
In his remarks, the representative of Obafemi Awolowo University, Comrade Alabi Ayokunmi Ayomikun Esq, said he was happy to receive a report from colleagues confirming receipt of the alert, stating that this gesture further restates the government’s priority towards Education as intrinsic for Osun State’s growth and development.
Comrade Alabi recalled that the previous Government in the state always had flimsy excuses for not supporting indigent students in the course of their studies, adding that Governor Adeleke has shown that he is committed to investing in education by acknowledging students’ plights and being masses-friendly.
He added that he and other beneficiaries as a sign of gratitude are ready to invest their legal intellects to Osun state when need be and contribute their quota to the state government’s vision towards the growth and development of Osun.
“Today is going to be another memorable day in the hearts of all sons and daughters of our dear Osun State as the people Governor and father, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, yet again broke a remarkable record by disbursing the long-awaited Bursary for 296 Nigerian Law School students of 2022/2023 set,” Toheeb Abodunde noted.
“On behalf of every member of our dear Association, I appreciate the Governor’s thoughtfulness in acknowledging the efforts and sacrifices we made during our study at the Nigerian Law School.
“Mr. Governor’s gesture is uncommon since the State was created in 1991. The bursary has further reinforced our commitment to being great Ambassadors of our dear State in every part of the world.
“I also appreciate every single member of our Association for their patience, cooperation, and prayers towards achieving this feat. It should not go without saying that some notable personalities contributed immensely towards facilitating the bonding between us and our dear Governor. I appreciate you all.
“It is our joy that this bursary plan does not start and end with us. We look forward to the Government’s steadfastness in ensuring that Nigerian Law School students continue to be beneficiaries of the goodwill of the State annually.”
During the course of the week, Governor Adeleke had ordered immediate phased disbursement of bursary stipends to Osun State students in various tertiary institutions, the payment which has started with the law school students being credited today.
