The senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunla, has distributed empowerment tools which include; N100 Million Cash Palliative, distribution of industrial machines, generators, knapsack sprayers, barbing equipment, road commissioning, Powered Boreholes, Launching of Massey Ferguson Tractors, Fertilizer Distribution, Transformers, Ajagunla Market Money Initiative, Ajagunla Food Subsidy Programme and distribution of 100 motorcycles among others to his constituents in Osun central Senatorial District of the State.
The empowerment program, according to him, which benefitted the 116 wards in the Senatorial District and over 3000 individuals, is majorly aimed at supporting farmers and boosting food production in Osun.
During the distribution on Tuesday at WOCDIF event centre, Osogbo, the state capital, Senator Ajagunla, reassured that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration is working tirelessly to ensure every residents of the state enjoy dividends of democracy.
He also added that, the initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of the constituents, enabling them to become self-sufficient and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
The ceremony was further marked by the commissioning of critical infrastructure projects, including road networks, powered boreholes, street lights, and the launch of Massey Ferguson tractors, distribution of fertilizers and transformers.
It was emphasized that, Senator Ajagunla’s efforts to empower his constituents are in line with his commitment to putting the people first. According to his Chief of Staff, Otunba Tunde Badmus, he said “the Senator has been working tirelessly to ensure that his constituents benefit from the dividends of democracy, and this empowerment program is just one example of his dedication to their welfare” he noted.
The event was graced by the Executive Governor of Osun State, represented by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Prince Kola Adewusi; Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun, members of the Osun State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Special Advisers and government officials and traditional rulers in the Senatorial District led by Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji.
