The Super Eagles of Nigeria have booked their place in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations’ final after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over South Africa in a tense semi-final encounter. The match at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake lived up to its billing, with both sides showcasing grit and determination, but ultimately failing to find a breakthrough in regulation and extra time.
Despite boasting an attacking line-up featuring Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, Nigeria struggled to unlock the resolute South African defence.
