The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has drummed support for the American University of Science and Technology located in Iwo, of Osun State.
The monarch commended the promoter of the university, Mr. Musa Fatahi for his investment and dedication to quality and qualitative education. He described Science and Technology as acutes to having a more convenience living, noting investment in the two areas as sacrosanct to have a better society.
Oba Akanbi made this known while receiving delegates of the university in his palace recently.
Oluwo, who described himself as a monarch known for development, assured the delegation of his utmost support to ensure smooth take off of the university.
The delegation assured Oluwo to uphold its vision statement to be an excellent institution committed to the production of globally competitive graduates through skill-based qualitative teaching, research and learning experiences in scientific and technological innovations that will lead to the development of critical minded crops of world leaders.
They stressed further that the university will evolve to be a centre of excellence and produce a dynamic group of youths with scientific, technical, innovative, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills needed for knowledge-based societal transformation.
